Sharpton Leads Wall Street March on 62nd Anniversary of March on Washington

“We won’t go back. We won’t go back,” the crowd chanted.

“We never stop dreaming. But now that we have an anti-dreamer, one that wants to cut the tax rate for the rich and have cuts in Medicaid and SNAP pay for it, why do we come to Wall Street? Since you have benefited from Trump, we come to tell you your benefit days are numbered,” said Rev. Al Sharpton.

That was the message from Rev. Al Sharpton as he led thousands in a march on Wall Street today in honor of the 62nd anniversary of the March on Washington.

The march comes as President Donald Trump threatens more takeovers of Black-led cities following unprecedented actions in Washington, D.C., and amid his continued attacks on diversity, equity and inclusion.
