Teena Marie’s Daughter Announces Book and Biopic

On Sept. 12, Alia Rose — daughter of the late singer Teena Marie — appeared on SiriusXM’s “The Clay Cane Show” and dropped some major news. She revealed that not only is there a book in the works about her mother’s life, but also a long-awaited biopic.

“There’s a book coming out about her life, and I’m working on a film as well. I haven’t really talked about it too much, but it’s like finally happening and I’m so excited about it because I feel like her story, it needs to be told. It’s women empowerment. It’s got a lot of things that we’re going through currently that I feel like are really going to resonate with a lot of people,” Rose said.
