Tens of Thousands Join ‘No Kings’ March in Manhattan to Protest Trump Policies

(AURN News) — An estimated 100,000 protesters flooded Midtown Manhattan on Saturday for the nationwide No Kings march, denouncing what they described as the Trump administration’s authoritarian policies.

Demonstrators gathered in Times Square holding signs reading “No Kings” and “Trump Is a Traitor,” then marched to Union Square in a massive procession captured by aerial footage.

Similar rallies were held across all five boroughs and nationwide as part of a coordinated “day of defiance.” The turnout doubled that of the first No Kings protest in June, which drew about 50,000 people on Trump’s birthday.

Protesters cited immigration crackdowns, efforts to block New York City transit projects, and attempts to cut anti-terror funding for the NYPD as evidence that little has changed.

Despite the enormous crowd, the NYPD said, “We had more than 100,000 people across all five boroughs peacefully exercising their First Amendment rights, and the NYPD made zero protest-related arrests.”
