Trump Mobile: Business Venture or Political Move?

(AURN News) — As President serves his second term, his sons have launched a new venture: Trump Mobile, a wireless phone service aimed at what they describe as “hard-working Americans.”

Launched on the 10th anniversary of their father’s presidential campaign announcement, Trump Mobile offers a flagship plan priced at $47.45 per month. The Trump Organization promises unlimited talk, text and data, roadside assistance, telehealth services and free international calling to more than 100 countries, including many with U.S. military bases.

Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump present the venture as a customer-focused, all-American alternative, highlighting free long-distance calls for military families and 24/7 U.S.-based customer support.

With Trump currently serving in the , the launch has raised ethical concerns about the family’s dealings. The company plans to use the existing networks of all three major U.S. cellular carriers. Customers can keep their current phones or purchase a new gold-colored “T1 Phone,” expected in August and described as designed and built in the United States.

While the release emphasizes patriotic themes and service to military families, it leaves open questions about potential conflicts of interest or how profits might relate to the president’s political role.

This launch continues a pattern of Trump family ventures that leverage the president’s brand during his time in office, sparking debate about where the line between private business and public service should be drawn.
