(AURN News) — “Tomorrow we’re going to have one of the biggest announcement, really, medically, I think in the history of our country. We’re going to be doing it with Bobby [Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.] and Oz [CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz] and all of the professionals. I think you’re going to find it to be amazing. I think we found an answer to autism. How about that?” President Donald Trump said.
Trump made the remarks at Charlie Kirk’s memorial at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, teasing what he called a historic Oval Office announcement. The White House is expected to link the use of acetaminophen, better known as Tylenol, during pregnancy to autism risk, and will advise women to use it only for high fevers.
Trump is also expected to tout the cancer drug Leucovorin as a possible therapy. CDC data show autism diagnoses have risen sharply, from one in 150 children in 2000 to one in 31 in 2022.
