(AURN News) — According to NBC News, President Donald Trump is threatening to sue comedian Trevor Noah over a joke Noah made while hosting Sunday night’s Grammy Awards that referenced Jeffrey Epstein’s island.
In an overnight Truth Social post, Trump called the remark “false and defamatory,” insisting he has never visited Epstein’s private island or “anywhere close” to it.
During the broadcast, Noah joked about Trump’s interest in acquiring Greenland, saying that with Epstein’s island gone, Trump “needs a new one to hang out on with Bill Clinton.”
Trump responded angrily online, calling Noah “a total loser” and threatening legal action.
Trump and Clinton have both denied wrongdoing related to Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.
Noah’s representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
