Trump to designate antifa as soon as today, Leavitt says

President Donald Trump will sign an executive order designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the order is being drafted to designate the decentralized movement of extreme far-left groups a terror organization.

“Well, Antifa is going to be designated a domestic terrorist organization,” Leavitt said Monday. “The president intends to sign that executive order very soon, as soon as it’s drafted, as soon as today, later this afternoon.”

Leavitt said that Trump campaigned on the issue. She said that there has been “a rise in violence perpetuated by Antifa, radical people across this country who subscribe to this group.”

The Center Square asked Trump if he planned to designation Antifa a terror group at an Oval Office event last week and he said he would.
