VIDEO: Arizona lawmaker says antisemitism isn’t welcome at DNC

An Arizona lawmaker said antisemitism in the Democratic party needs to be denounced.

State Rep. Alma Hernandez, D-Tempe, told The Center Square’s Greg Bishop that the 2024 Democratic National Convention did the right thing in not giving pro-Palestinian protesters a forum at the event. She detailed her role in a political organization opposing anti-Israel lawmakers.

“I serve on the board of the Democratic Majority for Israel,” Hernandez said. “Our job is, literally, to work in Democratic primaries against individuals who are not friendly to our issue, and we continue to win.”
