VP Harris Hosts Reproductive Rights Discussion with Chrissy Teigen

Vice President Kamala Harris will host a White House event featuring reproductive advocates, impacted patients, and providers in a conversation moderated by Chrissy Teigen. The event marks the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s June 24, 2022, Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade, and aims to highlight the ongoing battle for reproductive rights.

The vice president and Chrissy Teigen will discuss the fallout from the Dobbs decision, emphasizing how extremists have enacted abortion bans that endanger women’s health, force them to travel out of state for care, and criminalize health care providers.

Harris will outline the Biden-Harris administration’s efforts to protect reproductive freedoms and the continued fight to restore Roe v. Wade protections.

Since the landmark decision in 1973, which recognized women’s constitutional right to abortion, there have been numerous legislative and judicial battles over reproductive rights.
