WATCH: White House praises DOGE for government efficiency

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt praised the success of the DOGE initiative during a recent press briefing, pointing to its role in improving U.S. government efficiency.

According to Leavitt, President Donald Trump sent a message to Elon Musk via his social media platform, Truth Social, where he expressed his admiration for Musk’s efforts and encouraged him to be even more aggressive in implementing DOGE. The initiative, inspired by Musk’s management strategies at Tesla and SpaceX, has been adapted for government operations.

Details surrounding the initiative are still limited, but Leavitt stated that DOGE is a “very simple idea” that has already demonstrated its effectiveness. The Trump administration believes that Musk’s approach could streamline America’s slow bureaucratic processes and further enhance productivity across a variety of federal agencies.

“DOGE thus far has proven incredibly successful in making our government more efficient,” Leavitt said.
