Biden and Trump Secure Michigan Primary; 100K+ Uncommitted Voters Send Message to Biden on Gaza

Another primary day has come and gone with former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden emerging victorious in Michigan, where voters hit the polls Tuesday.

Trump’s only major rival was former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, while Biden ran without a primary challenger.

Voters had their reasons why they did or did not cast their votes for the eventual winners.

“I looked to the men to be our leaders,” said one voter.

“There’s just too much controversy around Trump,” said another.

While Trump has now essentially secured the GOP nomination, Haley has vowed to stay in the race.

Meanwhile, Biden won Michigan with 81 percent of the Democratic vote. But nearly 100,000 residents, or 13 percent, voted uncommitted on their ballot. Their message to President Biden: call for a ceasefire immediately and stop Israeli attacks on Palestinians in Gaza.

Since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, Israeli forces have killed over 30,000 Palestinians. It remains to be seen how these primary outcomes and the issues voters have raised will impact the general election in November.
