Black Men Unite for Harris: 53K Join ‘Win With Black Men’ Call, Raise $1.3 Million

53,000 joined in with Win With Black Men, a call to support Vice President Kamala Harris to become America’s next president. The group’s executive director Khalil Thompson said: “This is a huge moment for all of us tonight will be the largest gathering of Black men in politics in recent history. We are united to support our sister, Vice President Kamala Harris for president.”

Also hosting the event were journalist Roland Martin, activist Michael Blake, attorney Bakari Sellers, and Quentin James. Together, the group brought in $1.3 million in just under three hours. The call also featured prominent names like Maryland Governor Wes Moore, Congressman Maxwell Frost, actors Bill Bellamy and Don Cheadle, and many more.

Part of the proceeds will not just go to the Harris campaign but will also be divvied among civil rights organizations helping to get out the vote. Organizers promised that this would not be the last call and there is more to come as they build this movement to uplift, empower, and mobilize Black men.
