CNBC Poll: Most Voters Disapprove of Trump’s Handling of the Economy

(AURN News) — A recent economic survey by CNBC shows Americans are not hopeful when it comes to the future of the economy.

The All-America Economic Survey found that 61% of the 1,000 registered voters surveyed were “pessimistic” about the economy right now.

“That is the highest percentage since December 2023, when the country was just emerging from the pandemic-era inflation,” CNBC noted in a recent report.

When it comes to whether things will get better, 41% expect the economy to get worse, compared with 29% who expect it to improve.

Americans are also making changes to their lives in response to higher prices. The poll found that 47% said they are cutting back on essentials like medical care and food.
