Consumer Confidence Falls Again Amid Economic Concerns

(AURN News) – Consumer sentiment continues its downward spiral as new numbers point to low levels.

The University of Michigan’s Surveys of Consumers for May show that Americans remain concerned about their personal incomes and high prices.

May’s index fell to 48.2 from 49.8 in April.

The ongoing conflict involving Iran remains a major source of concern and tension among Americans.

The University of Michigan notes that until energy prices decline and supply disruptions are addressed, consumer sentiment may remain low.
