Epstein Transcripts Stay Sealed as Judge Blocks Trump DOJ Request

A federal judge in Florida just slammed the brakes on President Donald Trump’s attempt to unseal grand jury transcripts in the Jeffrey Epstein case — a blow to his base, which has been demanding full transparency.

Judge Robin Rosenberg ruled Wednesday that she was legally barred from releasing the 2005 and 2007 jury records from West Palm Beach, writing in a 12-page opinion that the court’s “hands are tied.” Even the Justice Department admitted its request didn’t meet the narrow legal exceptions that allow disclosure.

The setback comes as pressure mounts on Trump, whose supporters had expected explosive revelations from the Epstein files.

Judges in New York, where Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell faced sex trafficking charges, have also raised concerns about the government’s filings and are demanding more justification before releasing anything.

So far, the only thing that’s been unsealed is the frustration — on Capitol Hill, online, across the Republican base and everywhere else.
