Haley Drops Out of Presidential Bid, Stops Short of Supporting Trump

Nikki Haley is ending her bid for the GOP presidential nomination. The former South Carolina governor told her supporters in South Carolina she wishes Donald Trump well, but she did not officially endorse him.

“I am filled with the gratitude for the outpouring of support we’ve received from all across our great country. But the time has now come to suspend my campaign,” said Haley.

She also said she hopes Trump will bring the Republican Party together and added that he has a choice to make.

“I have no regrets. And although I will no longer be a candidate, I will not stop using my voice for the things I believe in. It is now up to Donald Trump to earn the votes of those in our party and beyond it who did not support him. And I hope he does that.”

She was soundly defeated by former President Trump in last night’s Super Tuesday. While she was making the speech, former President Trump said on his platform, Truth Social, that he “trounced” her.
