House Recesses as Trump Faces Lowest Poll Numbers Yet

(AURN News) — President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to a new low, according to the latest polling average from Strength in Numbers.

The group’s rolling average shows 42.6% of Americans approve of the president’s performance, while 53.5% disapprove — marking his weakest numbers since returning to office.

The decline comes amid growing backlash over the Jeffrey Epstein case files, which has shaken confidence in the president even within the MAGA movement. Calls are intensifying in Congress to force the release of classified files related to the case.

On Tuesday, House Speaker Mike Johnson said lawmakers would head into recess, putting a temporary stop to efforts in Congress to force the release of Epstein-related documents.

Trump has tried to move past the controversy, but public interest in the case — and the political pressure surrounding it — continues to grow.
