ICE Houston arrests six criminals who illegally entered US 42 times, have 48 convictions

(The Center Square) – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers in Houston continue to arrest some of the most dangerous criminal foreign nationals illegally living in the U.S.

In the past week, they arrested six men in Texas’ largest city, who combined, illegally entered the U.S. 42 times and were convicted of 48 crimes, ICE said.

“For the past 20 years, these six violent criminal aliens have brazenly violated our nation’s immigration and criminal laws, wreaking havoc in our local communities and leaving countless victims in their wake,” ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez said. “Thanks to the current administration’s focus on securing the border and making immigration enforcement a priority, they have been removed from the local community and will no longer be able to prey on innocent Americans.”

The six men are citizens of Honduras, Mexico and Vietnam, including a documented Paisas gang member.

ICE ERO Houston officers arrested Mexican national Oscar Moran Valle, 43, a documented Paisas gang member. He illegally entered the U.S. 12 times, ICE said. His convictions include three for illegal entry, two for DWI, and one each for drug possession, larceny, giving a false ID to law enforcement, illegal reentry and driving without a license, ICE said.

Vietnamese national Thanh Van Nguyen, 53, was also arrested. After illegally entering the U.S., he went on a crime spree, ICE said. His criminal history includes three convictions of burglary, two of larceny and assault, and one for obstructing police and damaging private property.

Also in this group were three Honduran nationals. One was Alex Salomon Reyes-Chavez, 46, who illegally entered the U.S. five times, ICE said. His convictions include two for burglary and heroin possession, and one for grand theft auto, cocaine trafficking and illegal reentry.

Another was Marvin Javier Marquez Celaya, 38, who illegally entered the U.S. five times. His convictions include three for burglary, two for cocaine possession, and one each for larceny, domestic violence and illegal reentry. Another was Angel Bonilla Barahona, 38, who illegally entered the U.S. seven times. His convictions include three for assault, and one each for resisting arrest, criminal mischief, flight to avoid arrest and illegal reentry.

Their arrests were made with the help of multiple federal partners who’ve been involved in targeted removal efforts to arrest the most violent criminals in the Houston area. Federal partners include the FBI, ATF, DEA, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Diplomatic Security Service and U.S. Marshals Service.

These multi-agency teams in the last six months arrested more criminal illegal foreign nationals in the Houston area who were convicted or charged with child sex offenses than they did in all of 2024, The Center Square reported.
