Monday was the final day for candidates for federal, state, county and judicial offices to file ahead of the March primary in Illinois. Two Republicans, University of Illinois law student Thomas Clatterback, and Joshua Loyd, a West Point grad, filed for the 13th Congressional District primary and would face Nikki Budzinski in November. Objections to petitions can be filed through Dec. 11. The final primary ballot will be certified on Jan. 11 during the Illinois State Board of Elections meeting.
