JD Vance Suggests Woman Killed in ICE Operation Was Responsible for Her Death

(AURN News) – The White House is facing blowback after Vice President JD Vance and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt suggested that a Minneapolis woman killed during an Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation was responsible for her own death.

Leavitt described the deadly incident in Minnesota as the result of what she called a “larger, sinister left wing movement” targeting federal law enforcement, adding, “What you see is what you get.”

Vance said the woman was attempting to obstruct what he described as a legitimate law enforcement operation, stating, “Nobody debates that,” and claimed she aimed her car at an officer and pressed the accelerator. “I can believe that her death is a tragedy,” he added, “while also recognizing that it’s a tragedy of her own making.”

The administration’s version of events is being challenged, with video analysis of the deadly shooting raising questions about its account.
