Medical Notes: How To Remove Plastic From Water, The Magic Of Bleu Cheese, And Why Childhood Anxiety Is On The Rise

Are you tired of drinking plastic?

Nanoplastics have gained attention as a rising health threat. They’ve infiltrated so many parts of our world that it’s hard to get away from them. Scientists have settled the ranch versus blue cheese debate – and it’s good news for cheese lovers.

Edible mold present in the cheese produces anti-fungal and antibacterial properties in high doses. Researchers have recently discovered how to extract these compounds without using dangerous chemicals in a new study published in ACS Biochemistry. Scientists hope this discovery will help reverse antibiotic resistance in humans, and there’s also promising data that it could help fight against cancer as well.
