Glioblastoma is a fast-growing, incurable tumor with an average survival rate of 12 to 18 months. Every moment counts for these patients, and scientists have now created a device that can diagnose the cancer in less than an hour. The technology, showcased in the journal Communications Biology, uses a bio-chip that can detect markers found in a blood test.

New research in Nature Metabolism reveals that long-time exercisers have healthier belly fat tissue than non-exercisers. They can also store fat more effectively for their health. The study compared two groups of adults with obesity, one with regularly active people, and one where no one worked out. The active group was more likely to store fat just under the skin instead of around organs, which is much more harmful.
