Consuming protein is important for everyone’s overall health, especially as we age. However, new research shows that plant protein may be more beneficial for aging women. A study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition reveals that plant protein is linked to lower levels of LDL cholesterol, blood pressure, and insulin sensitivity. Therefore, experts recommend a diet driven by plant sources, plus a small amount of animal protein, for better mental and physical health.
It’s recently been discovered that a small part of the population has no inner voice
Instead of words, they think in terms of space or imagery – and new research is showing that this strategy could worsen their verbal memory. A study published in Psychological Science tasked participants with remembering similar words. Researchers found that the people without an inner voice performed significantly worse.
