Ohio industrial projects expect to produce 1,000 new jobs

(The Center Square) – Ohio officials closed the year announcing 14 projects across the state expected to bring more than 1,000 new jobs and retain nearly 3,000 positions.

The economic development projects represent nearly $300 million in private business investment, and each received the potential for tax breaks based on job creation from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority.

The largest project is in northeast Ohio and impacts the Village of Dalton and Sugar Creek Township in Wayne County.

Provia Payroll LLC expects to create 300 full-time positions and generate $19.6 million in new annual payroll by opening new locations in Dalton and Sugar Creek.
