On this day in 1971, Christopher Wallace, aka Notorious B.I.G., was born in Brooklyn

Christopher Wallace, who would go on to be known as the rapper Notorious B.I.G., was born on May 21, 1972, in Brooklyn, New York.

Wallace started rapping as a teenager and made his debut in 1994 with the iconic album “Ready to Die,” which included the hits “Juicy,” “Big Poppa,” and “One More Chance.”

Tragically, his life was cut short on March 9, 1997, when he was killed at the age of 24 in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles.

On March 25, 1997, his final album, “Life After Death,” was released posthumously and hit No. 1 on the Billboard album charts.

Happy birthday to the late, great Christopher Wallace.
