(AURN News) — Pastor Jamal Bryant says the “Target Fast” is over.
“We asked for four things, and I’m grateful to God that we’ve gotten three of them. They have invested $2 billion back into the Black community and an additional $100 million to immediate organizations that are meeting needs within our community.”
“Number two, we asked them to partner with HBCUs. Number three, a reimagining of DEI. The only thing we didn’t get accomplished, but we’re still working toward, is an investment in Black banks.”
Pastor Jamal Bryant posted a video from inside a Target store declaring that the “Target Fast” has ended.
Bryant held a news conference around noon giving more details about the accomplishments and what comes next, but organizers say they are still pushing for the fourth demand — a relationship with Black-owned banks.
