PHOTOS: Governor’s mansion firebombed in alleged act of domestic terror

(The Center Square) – During an emotional press conference on Sunday, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro condemned the hate and violence that encouraged an arson attack at the governor’s mansion over the weekend.

No one was hurt when 38-year-old Cody Balmer threw homemade incendiary devices into the mansion’s dining room, where remnants of the first family’s Passover meal were still present.

Balmer has been charged with attempted murder, terrorism, aggravated arson, burglary, recklessly endangering another person, aggravated assault, and loitering and prowling at night time, according to a police affidavit.
