(The Center Square) – Donald Trump remains a strong favorite in Tennessee in both the Republican Party primary and the overall ballot, according to a new Beacon Center poll.

The poll asked more than 1,300 Tennesseans between Dec. 14-28 who they would vote for in a race between Trump and Joe Biden with 63% saying Trump and 30% Biden.

In a three-way race, Trump had 48% of the support while Biden had 23% support, Robert F. Kennedy had 17% and 12% were undecided.

The poll asked how Trump being convicted of one or more crimes would impact their vote and 58% said they would still vote for him while 28% said it would depend on the specifics of the conviction.

If Trump wasn’t in the race, Ron DeSantis would be Tennesseans favorite Republican candidate with 42% of the vote compared to 16% apiece for Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy and 17% unsure.

Kamala Harris would be the favorite in the Democratic primary at 30% if Biden was not on the ballot while 17% said Bernie Sanders, 16% said Hillary Clinton and 11% supported Gavin Newsom with 11% unsure.

Meanwhile, Gloria Johnson is the favorite with 35% of the support for the Democratic Senate primary while 10% supported Marquita Bradshaw and 48% were not sure. The race would be to face incumbent Republican Marsha Blackburn.
