Sarah Bond Makes History as First Black Woman Appointed President of Xbox at Microsoft

Sarah Bond has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the inaugural Black woman appointed as president of Xbox. 

Bond, a distinguished graduate of Yale and Harvard Business School, boasts a substantial background in the tech industry and has been an integral part of Microsoft for seven years. 

In her new role, she will helm all aspects of the Xbox platform and hardware operations. 

In a memo, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said, “To steer the current platform and forge the future one, we are uniting the teams crucial for this mission. Sarah Bond will spearhead this coalition as President of Xbox — amalgamating Devices, Player & Creator Experiences, Platform Engineering, Strategy, Business Planning, Data & Analytics, and Business Development.”
