Trump Advisor and Sycophant Faces Jail Time

Peter Navarro, a former adviser to former President Donald Trump, has been handed a four-month jail sentence after he defied a congressional subpoena connected to the investigation into the January 6th Capitol attack.

The judge didn’t mince words when he called out Navarro for suggesting the trial was politically driven, doubling down that Navarro’s situation was his own doing. Navarro is appealing the decision.

Former Trump White House official Peter Navarro talks to the media as he leaves the U.S. Federal Courthouse in Washington, Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024. Navarro, who was convicted of contempt of Congress for refusing to cooperate with a congressional investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, was sentenced on Thursday to four months behind bars. But this case isn’t just about Navarro. It’s about a larger puzzle involving the January 6th committee’s push to hold key figures accountable.

Remember Steve Bannon? Convicted on contempt charges and currently appealing.

The big question now is who could be next in this legal tangle?
