Trump: Affordability ‘Hoax,’ Racism on Repeat

(AURN News) – This is Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on the campaign trail. “We will rapidly drive prices down and make America affordable,” he said.

And this was President Trump last night, when he was supposed to be kicking off a tour on affordability. “The new word is affordability. So they look at the camera and they say, this election is all about affordability. They gave you high prices, they gave you the highest inflation in history, and we’re bringing those prices down rapidly – lower prices, bigger paychecks,” he said.

The speech was supposed to sell his economic agenda. Instead, it was filled with lies, half-truths, and again framed affordability as a hoax as millions of Americans struggle with higher prices and tariffs, which he claims will protect the U.S.

The president also trafficked in racist tropes, singling out Somali and other Black and brown migrants.
