Trump campaign has outraised Biden 2-1 in Georgia

Former President Donald Trump has raised the most money from Georgia of all presidential candidates, taking in $2.14 million since the start of the campaign cycle.

Trump raised $220,972 in January. Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has raised the next most from Georgia, with $1.73 million since the start of the campaign and $298,785 in January.

Haley suspended her campaign after Super Tuesday, leaving Trump as the presumptive GOP nominee.

Twenty-four notable presidential candidates, including those who have dropped out, raised a total of $6.43 million from Georgia donors between Jan. 1, 2023, and Jan. 31, 2024. Thirty-five notable candidates raised $31.27 million in Georgia during the 2020 election cycle, while 25 raised $17.22 million during the 2016 election cycle.

Looking at the top two fundraisers in January — Haley and Trump:

3,225 donors in Georgia donated to Haley’s campaign in January.Of those 3,225, the largest share, 1,052 (33%), donated between $25 and $49.7,105 donors in Georgia donated to Trump’s campaign in January. Of those 7,105, the largest share, 3,216 (45%), donated under $5.

President Joe Biden has raised 15% of the money donated in Georgia this election cycle. He received 49.5% of the vote in 2020. Trump has raised 33% of the money donated in Georgia this election cycle. He received 49.3% of the vote in 2020.
