Trump campaign has outraised Biden campaign in Michigan

Donald Trump (R) has raised the most money from Michigan of all presidential candidates, taking in $2 million since the start of the campaign cycle.

Trump raised $204,400 in February. Joe Biden (D) has raised the next most from Michigan, with $1.15 million since the start of the campaign and $293,593 in February. In February alone, Nikki Haley (R) raised more than both Trump and Biden with $452,949.

Twenty-four notable presidential candidates, including those who have dropped out, raised a total of $5.56 million from Michigan donors between Jan. 1, 2023, and Feb. 29, 2024. Thirty-five notable candidates raised $28 million in Michigan during the 2020 election cycle, while 25 raised $15.85 million during the 2016 election cycle.

Below is how much each presidential candidate has raised so far from Michigan in the 2023-2024 election cycle:

Looking at the top two fundraisers in February — Haley and Biden:

1,709 individual donations were made to Haley’s campaign in February.Of those 1,709, the largest share, 528 (31%), was between $25 and $49.1,985 individual donations were made to Biden’s campaign in February. Of those 1,985, the largest share, 671 (34%), was between $25 and $49.

Biden has raised 21% of the money donated in Michigan this election cycle. He received 51% of the vote in 2020. Trump has raised 36% of the money donated in Michigan this election cycle. He received 48% of the vote in 2020.
