Trump Pardons 77 Allies Tied to 2020 Election

(AURN News) — President Donald Trump signed off on a massive batch of 77 pardons, granting them to some of the same people who sought to keep him in power after he lost the 2020 election.
At the top of the list is Rudy Giuliani, the former New York mayor turned Trump lawyer who led a crusade to convince states that the election was stolen.
Giuliani, along with Mark Meadows, John Eastman and Sidney Powell, are among those Trump now calls “fully forgiven,” even though none were convicted of federal crimes.

The proclamation is sweeping, covering anyone involved in fake elector schemes or so-called efforts to expose voter fraud, even though no fraud was ever found.
Presidential pardons, however, don’t touch state cases — those prosecutions will keep moving forward.
