(The Center Square) – In today’s edition of Illinois in Focus Daily, The Center Square Associate Editor Greg Bishop discusses the status of the annual Illinois state budget with the deadline set for May 31. Legislators discuss tax and spend policies, including funding for non-citizen health care subsidies.

Bishop also shares some of the sentiments from Thursday’s Illinois Police Memorial service, including criticism of the state’s SAFE-T Act.
