(The Center Square) – In today’s edition of Illinois in Focus Daily, The Center Square Editor Greg Bishop shares highlights from supporters and opponents to expansions of the state’s migrant sanctuary policies Gov. J.B. Pritzker enacted Tuesday.
Bishop also airs comments from Chicago Flips Red encouraging taxpayers to boycott paying increased property taxes until there is a forensic audit of the city’s spending. The city is approaching an end-of-month deadline to enact an annual budget as Mayor Brandon Johnson continues to push for tax increases.
Finally, Bishop reviews action from Tuesday’s Illinois State Board of Elections hearing where the March 17 primary ballot came more into focus with the only opponent to Gov. J.B. Pritzker being removed from the Democrat primary ballot.
