WATCH: Trump, Pritzker trade barbs; U.S. Senate talks Chicago; partial government shutdown

(The Center Square) – In today’s edition of Illinois in Focus Daily, The Center Square Editor Greg Bishop airs the latest back and forth between President Donald Trump and Gov. J.B. Pritzker over public safety in Chicago and around immigration enforcement.

Bishop also airs moments from the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee where senators discussed the topic “Blue City Chaos and Tragedy.” U.S. Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Dick Durbin, D-Illinois, discuss public safety in Chicago and beyond. He also shares criticism from Illinois Republicans to the ongoing heated political rhetoric.

Finally, Bishop shares some initial reactions from Illinois officials to the federal government partially shutting down after the U.S. Senate failed to pass a continuing resolution to fund the government through late November.
