(The Center Square) – Wyoming voters picked Republican Sen. John Barrasso for a third term Tuesday, holding the seat for his party as it seeks a majority in the chamber.
Pollsters heavily favored Barrasso to win in Wyoming, where he defeated Democrat Scott Morrow, a retired union official.
Barrasso won a third full term on Tuesday. The orthopedic surgeon and former state lawmaker was appointed to the Senate in 2007.
Two national news organizations called the race for Barrasso.
Barrasso is the ranking member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and serves on the Senate Finance Committee.
