Op-Ed: Biden says make a deal with Hamas and live with it

Date:

“Jews have a secret weapon in our struggle with the Arabs; we have no place to go.” – Golda Meir

If you’re an American Jew, chances are you’re going to vote for Democrats next election. Why? Since the 1930s, a majority of U.S. Jews have voted for Democrats. One generation of many faiths and nationalities follows another and votes as a tradition, regardless of values, morals, issues, principles or social status.

The political and social beliefs of Jews in the U.S. were greatly influenced by Eastern European Jews who arrived during the great migration between 1880 and 1920. These Jews had a devout commitment to socialism. They sent two socialists to the U.S. House of Representatives: Meyer London of the American Socialist Party and Vito Marcantonio of the American Labor Party.

“Marx recognized the ruling ideas of each age have been the ideas of its ruling class.” – Steven Pinker

The roots of these liberal values lie in their understanding of what they went through in their history, with 73% holding the belief that remembering the Holocaust is an essential part of being Jewish. Many Jews also feel government has a duty to correct the social inequities in justice and in equality.

Jews sympathize with minorities: and the poor. Over 50% of Jews believe government should be bigger, and give more services to the needy compared to 40% of the general public. They are more Democratic than Hispanics, Asians and Muslims; and more liberal than college educated Blacks.

U.S. Jews are very liberal with 49% identifying as liberal today compared with 19% who claim to be conservative. That’s opposite of the general electorate, with 38% conservative and 21% as liberal.

Only 40% of Jews believe God gave them Israel. This percentage is lower than the general public’s belief at 44% and far below white Christians at 82%. A recent Pew study revealed Jews wouldn’t allow anyone to use Israel as a wedge to separate them from their core Democratic Party beliefs.

Although Evangelical Christians claim to have a responsibility to protect Israel, U.S. Jews simply don’t feel any affinity towards them. A mere 16% of all Jews agree there is discrimination against Evangelical Christians in America while 30% of all Americans think there is.

“For your benefit, learn from our tragedy. It is not a written law that the next victims must be Jews.” – Simon Wiesenthal

Historically, Americans who’ve achieved the social status and high levels of income and education have moved further right towards the GOP for socioeconomic preservation. The fact that such a convincing majority of Jews still vote Democratic is an historically strange enigma.

Conservatives have been trying to crack the code for a number of years to sway Jewish voters over to their camp. Based on the findings of the new”Portrait of Jewish Americans” survey done by the Pew Research Center, the GOP will need to find a different key, or something monumental will have to happen in the American Jewish community for Jews to retreat from the progressive left.

Could this be the year that Jews sitting on the political fence or leaning right vote for Republicans?

President Joe Biden, already walking a political tightrope over the objections of some of his party’s biggest donors, has made it clear to Benjamin Netanyahu, if he orders the IDF into Rafah, he will halt all congressionally approved shipments of weapons to Israel regardless of political consequences.

“You have to draw the line before too many weapons end up in the wrong hands.” – Joe Biden

Is Biden really turning his back on Israel? Say it isn’t so, Joe! If we recall our bible history, the Hebrew prophet Zechariah claims God is speaking through him and warns the people of the world, “All nations will gather against Jerusalem to try to move it, but they will just hurt themselves.” He is telling people that “Turning against Israel doesn’t bode well for any nation, especially America.”

CNN reported during recent congressional testimony, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin confirmed:. “While America will continue to support Israel’s use of the Iron Dome, no “high-payload munitions” will flow from the U.S. to Israel if this administration thinks it is best to limit arm sales to Israel.”

Austin emphasized, “We’re going to do what’s necessary to ensure Israel has the means to defend itself. But we are currently reviewing some weapon shipments due to the events in Rafah,” He also added the White House has “been very clear” we feel Israel shouldn’t launch any major attack on Rafah.

“Those who hate Israel hate America. Those who hate Jews hate Christians.” – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz

Biden is scared to take a clear position on anything about Israel. On Oct. 7, when Israel was savagely attacked by terrorists, thinking this would be another “hit and run,” he backed Israel, stating they had a right to fight back and protect themselves from terrorists. But now they don’t?

By late October, criticisms of Israel surfaced when they went into Gaza and killed Hamas terrorists. Suddenly, the Palestinians cheered the butchery of Jews by Hamas and stood by Hamas and they too became victims of those evil Israelis. Now that Palestine and Hamas stand together, Biden supports them over Israel. America’s ally Israel no longer has the right to defend itself as it did months ago?

Lady Gaga said, “Trust is like a mirror. You can fix it if it’s broken, but you can still see the cracks.” Israel is still trying to kill an enemy that is determined to wipe them off the face of the earth. Biden and the Democrats, are telling Israel to kick back, strike a deal with the terrorists and live with it?

According to the bible, Biden’s lack of support for Israel will come back and bite us many times over. This will heap shame from the international community on America for deserting a lifelong ally simply because Democrats fear losing a few votes from Arab Americans. We can’t afford to lose allies in this part of the world, which is “one smoldering fuse away from the mother of all wars.”

Biden is deserting Israel, our biggest ally in the Middle East, by holding back funds approved in Congress. There is no way those who wish to live in peace can coexist with those who wish to kill them. Diplomacy does not mix with insanity. Biden is empowering terrorists over Israel which is unsafe for Israel, America, and any civilized society. Terrorists love a weak U.S. president!

Biden told one CNN reporter, “I made it clear that if Israel goes into Rafah, I am not supplying the weapons they used in the past to deal with Rafah.” Biden is implying he’s grown weary of Israel’s insistence to eradicate an evil by warning Israel not to enter Rafah and kill terrorists who want to kill them. As Commander in Chief, Biden should know its unwise to negotiate the end of war when you have the ability to destroy the enemy for your own good.

“A kingdom that has once been destroyed can never come again into being; nor can the dead ever be brought back to life.” – Sun Tzu
