Op-Ed: Democrats recycle Biden strategy for Harris

spot_img

“A national political campaign is better than the best circus we’ve ever been to.” – H. L. Mencken

As the Democrat’s nominee for president in 1952 and 1956, Adlai Stevenson lost both elections to Dwight D. Eisenhower. After his last loss, he said, “Every political campaign must rewrite the rules on how to win when their candidate has a less noteworthy image than the one that they will be running against. They must be inventive and creative to gain the competitive advantage to win.”

Stevenson ran against a popular American war hero. But his campaigns failed to address the key issues concerning American voters: Transitioning our economy from war to peace, and the threat of a Soviet attack. Voters trusted a general more than a politician to be their president. Stevenson felt his party should have adjusted their strategy and their message to voters if they wanted to win.

Since the early 1960s as the Democratic Party has moved further left, they’ve mastered the art of campaign deception to elect more far left liberal candidates for federal and state offices. They merchandise their candidates as saviors for the middle class to conquer every current crisis. And these campaigns are paid for by unions, corporate businesses and special interests.

“There’s no question why unions are the biggest lobbyists against campaign finance reform.” – Calvin Thomas

In 2019, when socialist Bernie Sanders won four straight presidential primaries, the left panicked since he was a socialist and they didn’t think they could control his policy decisions if he was president. They also feared as a socialist many Americans would run away from him in the general election.

Since the Democrats had nobody waiting in the wings qualified to challenge President Donald Trump, the beltway leftist coalition resurrected Joe Biden from his basement bunker. They knew they could write the script for his campaign and he’d follow the party’s marching orders when he was elected.

The DNC called all the shots for Biden. They used COVID as an excuse to keep him in exile out of harms way. This allowed media and big money donors to campaign as his surrogates. This way, Biden wouldn’t be exposed to voters and reveal that he was not capable of being their president.

This strategy enabled the left to not only reconstruct Biden as a vigorous moderate, but they made Biden choose leftist Kamala Harris as his VP. They ran his campaign on providing American unity to camouflage the left’s socialist agenda that Democrats planned on implementing when he took office.

“I ran for the good of my party and never allowed anyone to influence my decisions.” – Joe Biden

Can the Democrats repeat the winning formula they used to elect Joe Biden to elect Kamala Harris in 2024? They will struggle to replicate the Biden election strategy to educated voters because of Harris’ inability to project a moderate image. With her radical political history and far left policies, she’ll always be a progressive. And unlike Biden, she has no experience at the federal level of government to impress voters with.

“The only source of knowledge is experience.” – Albert Einstein

It is a fact that the DNC certainly will not allow Harris to be exposed to any unscripted, ad hoc interviews with nonpartisan journalists. She is unable to speak on the spur of the moment even with the teleprompter without appearing insincere and childish. Her watchdogs will ensure Harris has few opportunities to burst into cackling one of her notorious word salads or musings about yellow school buses, the passage of time, or using first grade geography to explain about war.

Unlike Biden, Harris has no credible moderate veneer, only an unapologetic radical political past. Her politics are a hybrid contour of Hillary Clinton’s brainless politics with Joe Biden’s brain-dead policies. Her partisan crossbreed has little appeal to moderate Democrats or independents. Harris has exiled most all white males who are guilty of nothing except expressing love for their country.

The DNC wrote Biden’s stealth script emphasizing his many years in federal service to portray him as highly experienced and accomplished. They sold him as someone who got things done working both sides of the aisle who would unify a divided nation. They embellished his years as chair of the Foreign Relations Committee as vital when America needed to solidify our relations with our allies.

Again, unlike Biden, Harris has almost no federal experience the DNC can tweak or reconstruct to make her look like a moderate who would unite America. Although she has backed off proclaiming her radical views for a more progressive America, there is nothing in her political portfolio that the liberal media could emblematize to make voters believe that Kamala Harris would unify America.

“Ninety percent of the politicians give the other ten percent a bad reputation.” – Henry Kissinger

Harris does not have the wherewithal to make bold moves and break out of the partisan box she and Biden lived in. She’s had many awkward moments as a politician, struggling to connect with voters. And as the most liberal member of the Senate, as well as her pick for VP, progressive Tim Walz, it would be hard to convince voters that the Harris administration is anything but progressive.

The Bay Area leftist Harris, unlike flip-flopping Biden, never had to appeal to anyone right of center as a centrist or a moderate to win an election. Her entire political career has relied upon pandering to the progressive voters in 2020 and far left liberal Californians in her statewide political races.

Harris, like Biden, is capable of running a remote hide and seek campaign. And she will benefit from the 2020 revolution in non-Election Day balloting. Yet, unlike Biden, Harris has no moderate veneer. And if she is ever caught by a legitimate journalist without her watchdogs, teleprompter or a DNC script, she is bound to reveal what the real Kamala Harris will do if she is elected president.

“I believe that all insurance companies should be replaced with Medicare-for-all.” – Kamala Harris

Barack Obama reminded us, “Elections have consequences.” Democrats are spending big bucks to make Donald Trump look like a villain and make Kamala Harris into an all American dream girl. As they did with Biden, they are running a campaign against Donald Trump to rid themselves of him forever. They’ve portrayed Harris as someone who’ll unite America and won’t allow her to reveal her all-progressive agenda. Those who vote for Harris are clueless what she’ll do if she is elected?

At her rallies, Harris will not reveal her newest policies out of fear her fan base will recall her 2020 presidential campaign. It featured her many progressive ideologies such as de-funding the police, single-payer healthcare and banning fracking. As a card-carrying progressive who’d be elected by progressives and wealthy corporate liberals and special interests from the left coast, anyone who votes for Harris has got to wonder which Kamala Harris will show up the day after Election Day?

“No one looks to the political class or journalists for truth these days. The average Joe seems to spend most of their time peddling a ludicrous Facebook version of the truth.” – Stewart Stafford
