Op-Ed: Harris campaign designed to attract uninformed voters

“The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all.” – John F. Kennedy

One week after the fatal debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, Democrats jumped on the opportunity to complete the progressive takeover of our republican democracy. With a treasure trove of big business and union cash, along with special interest identify groups and a gaggle of leftist operatives, they lit the fuse on a long-awaited campaign to elect a woman president.

Most American voters were dismayed that unqualified Kamala Harris was chosen to replace Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee. Harris had proven she could never win a traditional party nomination. With no concern for voters, the left chose Harris with all her failures and her shaky past.

After the Democratic National Convention, leftist party delegates walked the streets of Chicago in idyllic weather with a spring in their step, thrilled that their party had chosen a progressive Black woman as a candidate. At the convention, they had praised Harris as “a president of joy and elation” and said she’d defeat Donald Trump’s “politics of darkness” as she fiercely attacked Trump.

Since her nomination, media and the DNC have staged campaign events for Harris that rival any evangelical-revival big-tent show! People sing, dance and jump for joy with every word Harris giggles. Harris never mentions policies but freely spiels vitriolic hate speech about Trump.

“If Donald Trump is elected, he will try to tear up the U.S. Constitution.” – Kamala Harris

While the DNC has reinvented Harris to hide her radical past, they can’t rewrite history. Too many prominent leftists are aware Harris would have never won a primary. Former first lady Michelle Obama told the crowd, “No matter how good we feel tonight, or tomorrow, or the next day, this is going to be an uphill battle.” Democrat David Axelrod added: “We are seeing irrational exuberance that will end sometime after Labor Day. Kamala Harris must be prepared to reveal her policies.”

Harris has only survived by remaining undefined in the minds of voters. Her anonymity is both a blessing and a curse. Harris won’t reveal her policies or give interviews that could damage and disrupt her moderate facade that the liberal media has sold to uninformed voters and the Trump haters.

Thomas Jefferson told us, “No nation can be both free and ignorant.” For years, Democrats have depended on uninformed voters to remain in office. This has enabled them to grow government and win elections from coast to coast by dividing voters against each other, i.e., the rich against the poor and middle class. They win elections keeping voters uninformed promising to punish the rich!

“The short memories of the American voters is what keeps our politicians in office.” – Will Rogers

Contrary to populist belief, candidates like Barack Obama and Kamala Harris are not guaranteed victories because identify voters will flock to the polls to elect them. That is an urban myth. It’s not only their color but the Democratic party and the liberal media that get them elected.

If we look at Black GOP candidates and compare their number of victories to leftist Blacks, five times more liberal Blacks are elected than Black Republicans.

Archived Media Research Center records reveal U.S. newsrooms are anything but diverse. They found reporters are far more liberal than average Americans. The majority vote Democrat. Their view on abortion and gay rights are far left of most Americans. They endorse expanding welfare, gun control, regulation and support free health-care benefits for everyone including illegal aliens.

MRC data shows America’s recognition of liberal media’s bias has grown exponentially during the past few decades, but few voters seek the truth because of party loyalty. They knowingly vote for inferior candidates even if it is not in their best interests. Democrats need uninformed voters to win.

Democrats found running identity candidates regardless of their qualifications lets them use race as a weapon to win at all costs. Since liberal media and Democrats are allied coast to coast, they turn the worst candidates into winners for their benefit at the expense of our security and liberty.

Voters will never make a wise decision this election unless they do their homework. Harris flipped on many policies, from fracking, price and rent controls, and socialized medicine, to corporate greed and punishing the rich. Liberal media has turned Bay area progressive Harris, whose campaign is based on “joy, hope and feel good vibes” into a moderate centrist – despite her checkered past.

Democrats depend on political ignorance to elect “shill candidates” to puppeteer party issues for special interests that better-informed voters would reject. Uninformed voters elect candidates for the wrong reasons, and when they realize this, Democrats blame Republicans for their failures.

Americans have lived with record high inflation for four years under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. They saw millions of buyers priced out of the home market. They lived with retail shortages and sky high prices and watched the cost of living increase $11,434 per year, according to the recent CPI index. They also saw America empower Taliban terrorists with a disastrous retreat in Afghanistan.

Americans have buyers’ remorse for the failed economic and foreign policies of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. There is no question America wants new leadership. Democrats had a chance to nominate a new team this election to repair the irreparable damage done to our nation. Yet they chose to bypass the will of the people and allowed beltway operatives to choose Kamala Harris to run as a replacement for Joe Biden. And she has promised to continue his failed policies if elected.

Arbitrarily eliminating delegates from nominating a candidate denies citizens their voice in choosing a candidate. Democrats forced voters to accept four more years of inferior leadership although they had clearly expressed a desire for change. Shame on them for hand picking someone who’d been elected by uninformed voters four years ago. This is not only undemocratic, it is unconstitutional.

Since the power to vote is the power to govern, concerned citizens are always informed voters. In a representative democracy, informed voters are aware that voting for the right candidate at all levels of government assures them they will be governed by qualified leaders in a manner they deserve.

“Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves, and the only way they could do this is by not voting.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt
