Survey shows younger generations disapprove Biden more than older

(The Center Square) – President Joe Biden’s approval dropped 14 points from January of 2021 to March 2022, with a 42% approval rating across the board, a poll from Gallup shows.

Notably, the survey found the most disapproving generation as Generation Z, with a 39% approval rating, down 21 points from the beginning of 2021.

Generation X and Millennials followed with a 40% and 41% approval rating, respectively, but Millennials have dropped 19 points since 2021 while Gen X only dropped 15.

The Gallup survey displayed a nine-point disparity in Biden’s approval between Gen Z and Traditionalists, with Traditionalists having a 48% approval rating of Biden in 2022. Traditionalists are generally understood as those born before 1945.

From 2021 to 2022, Biden’s approval has decreased among all demographics, including gender, race, education, income, party identification, and region, except for among Traditionalists, which actually saw a one point increase in approval after the summer of 2021.
