Program to Honor Soldiers

COLUMBIA FALLS, Maine–Wreaths Across America Radio is inviting American troops and their loved ones to send holiday messages to one another as Internet radio greetings.

The Remembrance Ring Program is the name of the campaign.

“Wreaths Across America Radio is a stream you can listen to anywhere, 24-7 online at wreathsacrossamerica.org/radio and via the  Heart Radio app, or download it at the App Store or on Google.(hashtag #WreathsRadio.),” a statement said.

Last year the program connected many families from all over the globe.

Patrons may e-mail friends and loved ones to inform them about the program.

“The United States currently has 1.3 million active duty members, reservists and guards serving within our borders and abroad,” said Karen Worcester, executive director.

“ Additionally, more than 24 million veterans have faithfully served our country in the past.

“I am honored and thrilled to be able to offer these soldiers and their families the opportunity to share their Holiday greeting. The Remembrance Ring is a wonderful gift to give and is especially important for sharing love and support for their sacrifices at this special time of the year.”

Patrons can participate by calling (888)348-3352 and record a short holiday greeting.

The network will play that message on-air during the holidays.

The messages will be broadcast from Nov. 22-Dec. 31.

The cost for sponsoring a wreath is $15 each and that can be accomplished  online at  wreathsacrossamerica.org.

For each sponsorship, a fresh balsam veterans wreath will be placed on the headstone of an American fallen military person on Dec. 19 as part of National Wreaths Across America Day.
