WATCH: Moskowitz says make Department of Homeland Security smaller

(The Center Square) – U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., backs removing certain offices from the Department of Homeland Security, claiming doing so will allow for quicker reforms.

The congressman, who once served as the director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Florida division, said both his former employer and the U.S. Secret Service should no longer fall under the department’s umbrella.

The revelation came from a task force report that probed security failures at the July 13 campaign rally in Butler, Pa. where President-elect Donald Trump nearly lost his life to an assassin’s bullet.
