Georgia-based company adding 300 jobs in central Georgia

(The Center Square) – Yancey Engineering Solutions is opening a new facility in central Georgia’s Crisp County, a move state officials said would bring 300 jobs in the next few years.

The jobs include welders, quality control technicians, assembly workers, and drivers, according to information provided by Gov. Brian Kemp.

When asked if the company received incentives or grants for the new facility, a spokeswoman for the Georgia Department of Economic Development said, “The project is still active, and the company will be working with Georgia Quick Start on workforce training.”

Georgia Quick Start is a “customized, company-specific workforce training” provided by the state at no cost to companies, according to its website.

The $5.7 million facility will be housed in a facility formerly occupied by the Big Tex Trailer World. The company closed in early 2026, resulting in the loss of 100 jobs, according to reports.

Yancy Bros. Co., headquartered in Austell, provides heavy equipment for several industries, according to its website. Yancey Engineered Solutions, a division of Yancey Bros., offers “power generation packaging systems, according to Kemp’s office.

“Yancey provides solutions and services that keep Georgia moving, supporting everything from small businesses to large manufacturers across every industry,” Kemp said. “This new facility will not only provide direct opportunity for hardworking Georgians in Crisp County, but it will help drive further growth statewide.”
