(The Center Square) – Twenty-two bills are on the first day’s docket when North Carolina’s House of Representatives resumes its long session following a break for Easter.
The Senate also returns on April 28. Both chambers, in a joint resolution, agreed to depart Raleigh on Thursday.
The Senate calendar for the first Monday back has yet to be released.
Among the proposals is Revise Child Passenger Restraint System Law, known also as House Bill 368. The two-page act clarifies a booster seat is a “child passenger restraint system” and changes language related to height and weight.
The CARE FIRST Act, or House Bill 434, is also scheduled. This proposal is intended to “cut authorization red tape efficiently and facilitate interventions rapidly.”
Crossover deadline is May 8.
