Ross: This is how our legal system is supposed to function

Date:

(The Center Square) – Two of seven Democratic members of Congress representing North Carolina spoke favorably about Thursday’s outcome of a trial in New York involving former President Donald Trump.

Opinions were found either via press statements or social media posts.

Rep. Deborah Ross said, “This is how our legal system is supposed to function. A jury of his peers deliberated the facts and came to this unanimous decision. The bottom line is that no one is above the law.”

Rep. Wiley Nickel said, “Here’s the thing: I’m glad to finally have some honesty and truth from this verdict so that our country can begin to heal from President Trump’s divisive rhetoric and extremism.”

Late Thursday night, statements or social posts were not found for Reps. Jeff Jackson, Alma Adams, Kathy Manning or Don Davis.
