(The Center Square) – Arizona’s presidential preference election on Tuesday is on track to have predictable results.

President Joe Biden leads in the Democratic primary with over 89%, and former President Donald Trump leads in the Republican primary with over 74% as of 8 p.m., according to the Secretary of State’s office.

Multiple news outlets have called each party’s primary for the presumptive nominees.

Both candidates have already met the delegate threshold necessary to win their party’s primaries, The Center Square reported.

There are no other major candidates currently in the race of the Republican and Democratic nominations, notwithstanding Democrat Marianne Williamson, who recently re-entered the race.

Biden is in Phoenix this week to tout the semiconductor industry’s benefits from the CHIPS Act and campaign. The president narrowly won the state in 2020, but Trump won the state in 2016.
