Millwood Athletics will open a new ultramodern softball field on August 20, 2024 at 6pm. The softball field is a culmination of a collaborative effort between the Millwood Enrichment Foundation, Remington Park and Love’s Travel Stops. “Increasing opportunities for students, especially girls, to participate in athletics is a top priority at Millwood,” said Superintendent Dr. Robinson-Woods. “The completion of this field will draw students to the game and provide them experience on a collegiate level field, which could seed the opportunity to play softball at the next level” added Director of Operations, Shannon Hayes.

Millwood Alumnae NyKiyah Hines and Andrieanna Reynolds, Class of 2016 will be highlighted at the event. Both ladies went from playing softball at Millwood to Division 1 scholarships. Ms. Hines received the Michelle Smith Outstanding Student-Athlete Award as one of the top five Softball players in Oklahoma her senior year. Representatives from Millwood Enrichment Foundation, Remington Park and Love’s will also be present to celebrate the opening of the field.

Please contact Cecilia Robinson-Woods, Ed.D., if you have questions at (405) 478-1336, ext. 5400 or at crw@millwoodps.org
