(The Center Square) – The new Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth expressed his gratitude to America’s many military service members and emphasized their sacrifices.
“I want to thank the war fighters,” Hegseth said, reflecting on his experiences with his fellow soldiers on the battlefield. He spoke about soldiers who constantly serve in “dark and dangerous places,” often without being recognized by their sacrifices.
Hegseth promised that now, decision making at the Pentagon would honor these warriors. “We’re going to think about those warriors with every decision we make,” he stated, as he reinforced his commitment to prioritizing the needs of service members.
